Lab Mix Alternates Dog Food

Buddy is a three year old male black and tan/Lab mix. We alternate between Purina One for Adult Dogs, Rachel Ray's Nutrish, and Beneful, all dry foods. We started feeding him with Purina's puppy food.

We have read wide in trying to decide what the best diet would be, experimenting with several options: more expensive dry food recommended by our vet, raw food diet, and a homemade recipe for feeding pets. Some of our reading suggested rotating two or three foods to avoid allergies, which is why we use three brands.

We usually shop Wal-mart both for convenience and price. We would prefer to feed him something closer to a raw food diet because we believe that would be more healthy for him. But we have to go with what we can afford, doing the best we can.
