This is the dog problems page.
It provides links to pages on the website that contain answers to surveys
that we did with hundreds of owners, asking about the issues they faced and
the steps they took to solve them.
We will only post the ones we think will be most helpful to you.

American Bulldog:
This American Bulldog was always biting
and jumping.
Australian Cattle Dog:
His chewing
problem was eventually solved but his barking continues to be an issue.
Basset Hound:
Obedience
is the main issue for this 5-month-old Basset Hound puppy. He also likes to nip!
Digging
and "selective hearing" were the tow biggest issues for this Basset
Hound owner to overcome.
Beagle:
This young Beagle presented his owners with several problems including potty
training and chewing.
Beagle mix, now 11, liked to eat
trash from the garbage can as a puppy.

Bichon Frise:

Catahoula Leopard Dog:
This issue of Catahoula
Leopard Dog chewing was resolved inexpensively.
Chihuahua:
Luxated patellas, reverse sneezing and nipping at children were the Chihuahua
problems solved by this owner.
This little guy, now aged 5 years, presented his owners with house
training problems that took some effort to fix.

For this Chow Chow, shyness
was the biggest issue.
Cocker Spaniel:
This Cocker Spaniel had a chewing
problem. She was also very clingy. The owner used other people who had
Cocker Spaniels as well as the vet to try to solve these issues.

German Shepherd:

Shepherd problems, including potty training, chasing smaller animals and
inappropriate barking.

Shepherd urinating in the house.
A German Shepherd Border Collie mix with a tendency to dig
holes and escape from his kennel.
Golden Retriever:
This owner had multiple issues with her Golden Retriever, including running
away, chewing, and jumping on people and furniture. Fortunately, she had a
vet in the family to help.
Getting a companion dog was the solution for this Golden
Retriever anxiety issue.

everything in sight according to his owner, who used squeaky toys to remedy
the situation.
This pair of Lab and Doberman mixes were chewing
everything in the back yard until their owner was advised to use an
inexpensive, but effective, product from the nearby PetSmart (you can also get
it at Wal-Mart).
This Lab/Chow mix was a big chewer.
Here's the story of a Yellow Lab that would run
